Height Safety Certification: Ensure Your Safety Systems are Compliant

Certified inspection, installation, and compliance of height safety systems — engineered to keep every rooftop and access point compliant, tested, and ready for use.

Get in Touch

Certified Inspectors

Qualified IRATA/ SPRAT technicians delivering height safety inspections and certification to Australian Standards.

Locations

Servicing Sydney, Central Coast & Newcastle across commercial and industrial rooftops.

Compliance Guaranteed

Every installation and inspection backed by certification, tagging, and audit-ready documentation.

Anchor Point and Static Line Installation

Safe work at height begins with a correctly engineered anchor. KTM ACCESS designs and installs the complete range of fall-arrest attachment systems, specified according to the substrate and the intended scope of work, load-tested on site to the rated safe working load, and subsequently tagged and certified in accordance with AS/NZS 1891. Our installation capability includes:

Anchor point installation

Single-point and multi-point fall-arrest anchors for metal deck, concrete, tile and membrane roof substrates, engineered to suit the fixing capacity of the structure.

Static line systems

Horizontal lifeline installations providing continuous fall protection coverage across extended roof spans and facade access routes.

Project Management

Our experienced project managers ensure that every project is completed on time and within budget. We handle all aspects of the project, so you don't have to.

Rail and monorail access systems

Permanent rail-based access infrastructure engineered for repeat use on facades, plant rooms and confined maintenance zones.

On-site load testing

Proof testing of every installed asset to its rated safe working load prior to certification and sign-off.

Height Safety Certification and Inspection

An uncertified system constitutes a liability rather than a safety control. KTM ACCESS provides scheduled inspection, load testing and re-certification of existing height safety systems, irrespective of the original installer, enabling building owners and facilities personnel to maintain a continuous and defensible compliance record. Our certification services comprise:

Anchor point testing and recertification

Load testing conducted in accordance with AS/NZS 1891 to confirm safe working loads prior to sign-off.

System inspections and compliance auditing

Scheduled inspection of anchors, static lines, guardrails, ladders and walkways, with defects formally reported and remediation options identified.

Compliance tagging and documentation

On-site tagging of every certified asset, supported by written certification and a logged compliance register.

Fall Prevention and Edge Protection

The most effective control is the one that removes the hazard entirely. KTM ACCESS installs passive fall prevention infrastructure that protects all personnel accessing the roof without reliance upon harnesses, training or individual user competency, and which accordingly represents the preferred control under the hierarchy of risk management. Our fall prevention scope includes:

Permanent and temporary guardrail systems

Free-standing counterweighted and fixed guardrail installations to roof perimeters and open edges.

Hatch and penetration guarding

Protective guarding to roof hatches, skylights, service penetrations and other openings presenting a fall risk.

Access and walkway infrastructure

Compliant elevated walkways, step-overs and designated pedestrian routes across rooftops and elevated work areas.

Fixed ladder access

Compliant ladder installations providing safe vertical access to roof and plant areas.

FAQS

Please reach us at admin@ktmaccess.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Fall protection is the broader category — it includes passive systems like guardrails that prevent a fall from happening at all, while fall arrest (anchors, static lines, harness systems) is designed to safely stop a fall already in progress.

Most systems require inspection and re-certification every 12 months under AS/NZS 1891, though usage frequency and environmental exposure can shorten that interval.

If a system doesn't meet its rated load during testing, it's tagged out of service immediately and either repaired, replaced, or decommissioned before any further use is authorised.

It depends on the work being performed — static lines suit continuous horizontal movement across a roof or facade, while individual anchor points are better suited to fixed-position tasks. We can assess your site and recommend the right system.

Yes, we inspect and certify existing fall protection and access infrastructure regardless of who installed it, provided it can be tested to current Australian Standards.
